Edwardian 'Glamour' Pots

This section shows pots that were produced during the Edwardian era, circa 1902 - 1910.

Following on from the Victorian era, ointment pots continue to be found, produced by many retailers. The material used for the construction of these pots changed in that a majority of the pots were being made from porcelain, some with gold bands around the top and bottom. Quite a few of the so called 'Glamour' pots carry nice pictorials of Edwardian women and most carry detailed descriptions of the product around the pot. The quality of print varies quite considerably and it is difficult to find pots with good complete transfers due to the 'over glaze' print. Great care should be taken when cleaning these pots to avoid rubbing off the transfer.
