This page shows the 'NOSCAR' pot originating from Chingford in London N.E.
Frederick Hutchins is listed in the Kelly's directory for Essex as residing at the Chingford address in 1901, the address that appears on the pot. Earlier directories, for the early 1880's, show a different address and that he was trading at that time as a grocer and corn dealer. The Higham Street, Chingford address appears to be a private house so maybe he produced the ointment from there which product he previously sold from the shop.
Further detailed information can be obtained from the Historical Guide to Delftware and Victorian Ointment Pots book produced by Messrs. Houghton & Priestley, page 108.
